it's a small world

Debuting at the 1964 New York World's Fair, "it's a small world" became an instant hit. From that point on, Walt knew he had to incorporate this ride, and other similarly structured attractions, into Disneyland and the new park being constructed in Florida

The ride is a wonderful boat ride through a story book land, designed by Disney Legend Mary Blair, emphasizing the fact that we live on a small world. The ride's essence is very much a part of the era of the 1960's that it was born from.

It is interesting to note, although the ride showcases the international assemblage of children there is no representation of America in the ride.
