<p>Disney-Pixar&#8217;s <em>Toy Story 3</em> kicked off the American International Toy Fair in New York City today with a plethora of new toys and playthings that pay homage and celebrate the best the toy industry has to offer. In a playful, <em>Toy Story</em>-themed setting before an invitation-only crowd of toy industry insiders, Green Army Men descended from the ceiling in &#8220;take-over&#8221; mode as they helped John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, Lee Unkrich, director, <em>Toy Story 3</em>, Darla K. Anderson, producer, <em>Toy Story 3</em> and John Ratzenberger, voice of Hamm, unveil a first look at some of the more than 250 new toys releasing this Summer and into the 2010 Holidays.</p>

<p><em>Toy Story</em> is the largest toy licensing event of 2010 and the only film franchise that galvanizes the toy industry with an unprecedented line-up from Disney Consumer Products and more than 20 world-renowned toy companies, including <strong>Thinkway Toys, Mattel, The LEGO Group, HASBRO, JAKKS Pacific,</strong> and <strong>Fisher-Price</strong>. Boasting $8B in global merchandise sales to date since it was introduced in 1995, <em>Toy Story</em> will continue to bring excitement to retailers around the world and turn up the fun for kids at playtime. The new <em>Toy Story 3</em> toy line features action figures, dolls, role play, games, play sets, construction sets, vehicles, talking plush and robots that might just come alive when kids are not around.</p>

<p>The filmmakers also revealed a look at the much-anticipated <em>Toy Story 3</em> with an all new film trailer introducing a plush bear character named <strong>Lots-O&#8217;-Huggin&#8217; Bear</strong>, one of the new toys featured in <em>Toy Story 3</em>&#8217;s Sunnyside Day Care, and the first plush toy to appear in the film franchise. The trailer, which will air tonight on Disney Channel, also previews an explosive train sequence and a host of other new characters. The new <em>Toy Story 3</em> toy line will also include toys inspired by these new characters adding hours of fun as kids play out scenes from the new film.</p>
<blockquote><p>I&#8217;ve always had a great love and fascination with toys and that&#8217;s really where the idea for <em>Toy Story</em> began. When we set out to create <em>Toy Story</em>, I imagined this really amazing group of characters that would entertain kids and families for hours. And that&#8217;s also what we set out to do with the toys inspired by the films. Working with some of the best toy companies, we took every single detail into consideration to develop a great toy line that is true to this franchise. Taking a look around the room today, I think we again achieved our vision with <em>Toy Story 3</em>.<br />

<p>Lasseter was inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame at the Toy Industry Association Toy of the Year Awards banquet last night. Through such hits as <em>Toy Story</em> and <em>Cars</em>, he has brought toys to life on the big screen in a magical way that has engaged kids and collectors off-screen with film-inspired product for nearly 15 years. Lasseter follows in the footsteps of Walt Disney, who was inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame in 1987.</p>

<p><strong>Star Wars Weekends</strong> (each Friday-Sunday May 21-June 13, 2010) – “The Force” returns to <strong>Walt Disney World Resort</strong> as <strong><a title="Disney's Hollywood Studios" href="http://etckt.com/disney-parks/hollywood-studios" target="_self">Disney’s Hollywood Studios</a></strong> becomes “Star Wars Central” for guests of all ages during the annual sci-fi fan-fest.</p>
<p>The power of the Force and magic of <strong>Disney</strong> combine as plenty of out-of-this-world characters – including Wookiees, droids, Ewoks, bounty hunters and Jedi – roam the streets of the theme park. Also featured in special meet-and-greet opportunities are characters from the animated film and TV series &#8220;Star Wars: The Clone Wars.&#8221;</p>
<p>Jedi Training Academy, one of the interactive entertainment experiences at the theme park, takes place on the main stage and allows young guests to learn from a Jedi Master before testing their newly acquired skills in a battle with Darth Vader.</p>
<p>Also featured: the chance for fans to purchase one-of-a-kind Star Wars memorabilia, Star Wars games, special Star Wars parades, star conversations and autograph sessions with famous Star Wars actors (celebrity lineup will be announced at a later date).</p>

<p>As <strong>Disney Parks</strong> ask “What Will You Celebrate?” and invite guests to turn their personal milestones into magical family vacations in 2010, America’s military personnel will have more reasons to celebrate: Special offers on theme park tickets and accommodations.</p>
<p>With <strong>Disney’s Armed Forces Salute</strong>, from Jan. 3 to July 31, 2010, active and retired U.S. military personnel (including active and retired members of the United States Coast Guard and active members of the National Guard or Reservists) or their spouses can purchase <strong>Disney’s</strong> 4-Day Military Promotional Base Tickets for $99, plus tax, for themselves and up to five additional family members or friends for use at <strong>Walt Disney World Resort</strong>.  The Park Hopper and Water Park Fun &amp; More options can be added for an additional $26, plus tax, per option, per ticket.  No more than six Disney’s 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets (with or without options) may be purchased by any eligible member of the U.S. military (and/or spouse) pursuant to this offer.</p>
<p>All tickets and options are non-transferable and must be used by Sept. 30, 2010.  However, the tickets and options are not valid for use on the following blockout dates: March 27, 2010, to April 9, 2010, for all <strong>Walt Disney World</strong> theme parks and other gated attractions; and July 3 to July 4, 2010, for the <strong><a title="Magic Kingdom" href="http://etckt.com/disney-parks/magic-kingdom" target="_self">Magic Kingdom</a></strong> park.</p>
<p>Active and retired U.S. military personnel also can save up to 40 percent on rooms at select <strong>Disney</strong> resorts!  This offer is good for stays most nights Jan. 3-Sept. 30, 2010, except not available 3/28-4/10/10 and 7/1-7/5/10, and can be booked through July 31, 2010. In addition, one of the six (6) Tickets purchased must be for use by the Eligible Service Member or his/her spouse.</p>
<p><strong>Disney’s</strong> 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets will not be valid unless and until activated (no later than September 26, 2010).</p>
<p>Each <strong>Disney’s</strong> 4-Day Military Promotional Ticket must be used by the same person on any and all days.  <strong>Disney’s</strong> 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets may be used ONLY by the Eligible Service Members, spouses, other family members or friends for whom they are purchased.  In addition, a valid military ID may be required for admission.</p>
<p><strong>Disney’s</strong> 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets (including any options) expire and may not be used after September 30, 2010. <p>Under the terms of the agreement and based on the closing price of <strong>Disney</strong> on Thursday, December 31, Marvel shareholders will receive a total of $30 a share in cash plus approximately 0.7452 <strong>Disney</strong> shares for each Marvel share they own.</p>
<p>Marvel’s assets include a library of over 5,000 characters featured in a variety of media over 70 years and businesses, including licensing, movie production and publishing.</p>

<p>D Street, located in the mid-section of the District, carries a variety of products for both men and women.  Items include cutting-edge apparel, pop culture novelties, Vinylmation figures and collectibles, artwork, handbags, accessories and jewelry.  The store’s raw, unfinished industrial look also highlights Disney art created by local artists.</p>
<p>Product lines feature vintage looks from <strong>Disney Couture</strong> and urban styles inspired by the surf and skate lifestyle.  Vintage apparel includes artwork from classic <strong>Disney</strong> attractions and characters and films such as “Star Wars” and “TRON.”  D Street also showcases jewelry designers Tarina Tarantino and Classic Hardware, and fashion labels Mighty Fine and Harajuku Lovers.</p>

<p><strong>Disney Channel</strong> will run a simulcast on the FLO TV service, offering consumers access to full-length episodes of hit <strong>Disney Channel</strong> series &#8220;Hannah Montana,&#8221; &#8220;Wizards of Waverly Place,&#8221; &#8220;The Suite Life on Deck&#8221; and &#8220;JONAS,&#8221; as well as films from the wildly popular <strong>Disney Channel Original Movie</strong> franchise. The service also includes <strong>Playhouse Disney</strong>, a daily morning programming block for preschoolers and their caregivers featuring a wide array of content, such as critically acclaimed series &#8220;Handy Manny&#8221; and &#8220;Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.&#8221;</p>
<p>The FLO TV wireless service already offers <strong>ESPN MobileTV</strong>, which delivers year-round 24/7 coverage of more than 800 live events, including College Football, College Basketball, Major League Baseball and more. <strong>ESPN MobileTV</strong> also delivers timely news and information seven days a week from <strong>ESPNEWS</strong>, as well as information and analysis from top <strong>ESPN</strong> studio programs &#8220;Baseball Tonight,&#8221; &#8220;Pardon the Interruption&#8221; and &#8220;Around the Horn.&#8221; Through this new agreement, live event coverage will expand further still, with previously unavailable ESPN games being added to the <strong>ABC Mobile </strong>channel.</p>
<p>The FLO TV service is being offered across multiple platforms, including:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">on a dedicated device with the FLO TV Personal Television &#8212; the first-ever portable digital television with a dedicated network;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">direct to mobile subscribers, via AT&amp;T as AT&amp;T Mobile TV and Verizon Wireless as V CAST Mobile TV;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">direct to automobiles using the FLO TV Auto Entertainment system. Audiovox and FLO TV will be launching FLO TVAuto Entertainment, an in-vehicle entertainment system that delivers high-quality TV, offering enhanced entertainment beyond DVDs.</p>
<p>Through this variety of media, consumers can simultaneously get high-quality video and audio in real time without streaming, buffering or downloads.</p>

<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.4em; margin-left: 0px; font-size: 13px;">Shipping is anticipated to take place in spring 2010 for the <em>Nautilus</em>, the first of three incredible replicas offered in eFX’s new <strong>Disney</strong> line. The <em>Nautilus</em>is priced at $1,799, and payments can be made in four installments. All orders for the <em>Nautilus </em>placed prior to December 31, 2009, will receive an early pre-order price of $1,699.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.4em; margin-left: 0px; font-size: 13px;">Moreover, orders placed before that date will also receive a special certificate, suitable for framing, on a reproduction of the <strong>Disney Studios</strong> stationery used during the film’s production in 1954. The certificate can be fully customized for gift purchases, and can be sent directly to gift recipients for the holidays. (Certificates for holiday giving can be guaranteed only for orders placed prior to December 17.)</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.4em; margin-left: 0px; font-size: 13px;">This four-foot replica of the <em>Nautilus</em> offers features not incorporated in any previous model of the iconic submarine. Produced at approximately 1/45th scale, the replica features finely detailed interior views of the wheelhouse and Capt. Nemo’s salon, as well as LED lights to illuminate those rooms and the circular salon observation window.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.4em; margin-left: 0px; font-size: 13px;">In addition to a removable skiff, the <em>Nautilus </em>incorporates a freely rotating propeller and pivoting rudder, and includes a custom display stand. Each<em>Nautilus </em>will have a numbered plaque and certificate of authenticity, and production will be strictly limited to 500 pieces worldwide.</p>
