Variety has reported that the Disney has set a date for the Jerry Bruckheimer live action version of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
The family adventure will hit screens July 16, 2010. Based on the classic Mickey Mouse segment from Fantasia will reunite star Nicolas Cage with Jon Turteltaub as the director. They have previously worked together on the National Treasure franchise, which was a blockbuster for the studio. Filming will begin later this month and the film is slated to open on July 16. 2010.
