With the introduction of the iPhone, mobile computing changed. With the advent of the iPhone developer’s program and the iTunes App Store, things changed a lot! We submitted our application to become an iPhone developer the day they opened the doors.
In order to extend the ability for us to share information about the Walt Disney World Resort and all of their incredible activities that they offer, we have developed several iPhone applications, as well as a few web-based ones, to help you make the most of your time at the parks.
The first applications we have released are the broad overview of the parks; they provide the paper map to guide you through the parks during your visit. With the ability to find your iPhone, the apps show your location in relation to where you might want to be.
We have also introduced our first event-app in PixieFlowers. PixieFlowers is an iPhone application dedicated to helping you find your way through the 2010 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.
There are many more apps in the pipeline and we hope that you consider them when planning your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort here in Central Florida. If you have an idea for an app or feature you would like to see, please feel free to let us know.
All of our apps are available through the iTunes App Store and we hope they help you find your way and make the most of your day. We have also spun these applications off to a website of their very own. You can find more information about the latest developments at PixiePins.com or on Twitter @pixie_pins.
