The Bizjournals is reporting that Disney Cruise Line has announced changes in ports for the Disney Wonder, the second ship build for Disney Cruise Line.
With new ships in production, Disney Cruise Line is expanding the locations of their ships. Expanding to the West Coast is a natural progression for the company. According to the article:
The company is working with the West Coast port to finalize a two-year agreement with a three-year extension option. The contract will be considered by the Port of Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners on April 2.
Disney is presenting the relocation as part of an overall expansion plan. It will put two new ships, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, at Port Canaveral in 2011 and 2012, respectively.
This brings great opportunities to both coasts of the country and expands Disney Cruise Line’s choice of destination travel. The full article can be found at the Bizjournals’ website.
