This Friday, April 10 is a big day at Downtown Disney Marketplace. Tren-D has its grand opening and ribbon cutting, Aerophile has a soft launch of Characters in Flight and work continues on the new restaurants being built on Pleasure Island.
First thing Friday morning will be the grand opening/ribbon cutting of the newest shop at Downtown Disney Marketplace, Tren-D. In the words of the company:
An eclectic new women’s boutique with trendy apparel and novel accessories is now open at Downtown Disney Marketplace. Tren-D blends vintage and hip designs with whimsical Disney characters in a unique setting befitting the trendiest fashion salons. This breakthrough shopping destination showcases the artistry of favorite designers including Tarina Tarantino, Roxy and Kidada Jones.
Characters in Flight
Shortly thereafter, I am going to wander over and try to take a ride on Characters in Flight. I saw this from the Epcot parking lot on Wednesday and it was just awesome to see it from that distance. I would imagine a flight inside will be more than spectacular.
The vibrantly colored balloon can lift up to 30 guests at a time on a six-minute trip – thanks to its enclosed volume of 210,000 cubic feet of lighter-than-air gas. The ascents, by day or night, provide guests with an unparalleled, 360-degree view of up to 10 miles.
Although it is far from open, I want to check out any ifomation on the hot new restaurant set to open soon, Paradiso 37.
The lakeside eatery will offer a delectable variety of menu offerings representing the 37 countries of the Americas, plus an international wine bar, 37 varieties of tequila and 10 signature frozen margaritas.
So my Friday will be packed with events and then rushing back to the studio to process, edit and upload for you to enjoy. Hope to see you out at Downtown Disney Marketplace for the events.
