Mitchel Musso and KSM will perform an online concert live from New York’s Fillmore Auditorium.
Broadcast in 16:9 HD, the event will feature the concert and backstage interviews, streamed live on both band’s Facebook® Pages using Facebook Connect and the Disney uStream page. Disney uStream utilizes Media Streams technology through which fans create video responses to what they see in real time. It all begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12.
In anticipation of the concert, fans can RSVP to the event – as well as help pick the opening songs of the band’s set — at Mitchel Musso’s and KSM’s Facebook Pages, by texting MMKSM to 30303. During the event, fans may also interact with the concert host and talk to KSM before and after their performance.
In addition to the live concert broadcast, the label will be filming Mitchel Musso’s new video for the single “Shout It.” Not only did the “Hannah Montana” co-star see his CD debut at #19 on Billboard’s 200 chart upon release, the album also hit #2 on the iTunes Pop chart, #5 on iTunes Album chart and #11 on Billboard’s Digital album chart, with over 50,000 digital downloads
Currently wrapping a U.S. club tour opening for Mitchel Musso, KSM has been building momentum for the impending release of their debut. Written and produced by Matthew Gerrard and Robbie Nevil, recorded and performed entirely by KSM, “Between the Lines” is the debut CD for the all-female rock quintet. Together for two years, KSM was initially mentored by the Go-Go’s. KSM is: bassist Sophia Melon (18), drummer Kate Cabebe (18), lead guitarist Shae Padilla (18), rhythm guitarist Katie Cecil (16) and lead singer Shelby Cobra (16).
The band’s 20-part reality-based web series, “KSM: Read Between The Lines Presented by ACUVUE(r) Brand Contact Lenses,” premiered last month (www.teen.com/KSM and www.ksm.acuvue.com).
