Each holiday season, the Foods and Entertainment departments at Disneyland Resort join together to create a different gingerbread house for the Great Hall in Haunted Mansion Holiday. The 2010 model, on view in the Mansion through Jan. 2, features a replica of Jack Skellington’s holiday clock from the Haunted Mansion Holiday exterior, with Jack himself popping up from behind.

To add thrills and chills to the Happy Haunts’ holiday banquet table, this year’s confectionary creation is an enormous “tombstone” gingerbread cookie, entirely decorated to look like the façade of Jack Skellington’s Haunted Mansion Holiday. Icing creates the infamous countdown clock and rooftop cupola, complete with sticky-gooey spider webs. Below the tantalizing tombstone, a zombie cookie tries unsuccessfully to escape his crypt, and a quintet of Singing Pumpkin Cookies offer a sweet homage to the Singing Busts. As guests float by in their Doombuggies, they’ll surely spy Jack himself—who’s been reincarnated in the form of another giant gingerbread cookie. All dressed as “Sandy Claws,” this gingerbread Jack gleefully pops up from behind the tombstone with his boney arms outstretched, as if to offer a special holiday greeting to one and all.
