Walt Disney’s home from 1932 – 1950 is now available for sale. The residence, at 4053 Woking Way is privately gated home has four bedrooms, five baths with some incredible views of the city and is up for sale at $3.65 million.

You can read a bit more on the sale at the MLS site as well as find a nice article from Better Homes and Gardens. There are some fantastic photos on the MLS site and any Disney fan should have some fun imaging the cast of characters that came to life, both literally and figuratively, in that house. Walt and Lillian lived there during the golden age of Disney animation so the importance of the residence on Disney history cannot be understated.

Consider that from 1932 – 1950 most of the classics were produced while Walt was living in this house: from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs through The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. That is just the list of features, let alone the shorts they produced during this time. I would hope the Walt Disney Family Museum could come up with the purchase of the home for preservation’s sake. It would be a shame for this Disney landmark to be destroyed like Walt’s iconic home at North Carolwood Drive. What do you think?
