Planet Muppet!

The most notable thing about Muppet★Vision 3D is that it was the last film project from the creative genius of Jim Henson. Originally opened as Jim Henson’s Muppet*Vision 3D on May 16, 1991, it has now been renamed and the Muppets are part of the Disney family.

The simple premise of this film and live action attraction is to immerse the guest in the wonderful and wacky world of the Muppets. The attraction begins with a bit of pre-show fun that includes lots of campy Muppet fun. Be sure to look around the warehouse for lots of classic jokes as well as props you may remember from your childhood.

The show begins with a tour of Muppet Studios by Kermit the Frog. As expected, there are lots of 3D effects throughout the tour but one of the biggest treats is the introduction of a new computer-generated Muppet; Waldo C. Graphic. Once introduced, Waldo wreaks a bit of havoc throughout the rest of the film as the Muppets prepare to put on a show for you.

The movie is 17 minutes long and contains: live action elements, audio-animatronics, live effects and some loud noises, but otherwise this is one of the most family-friendly attractions in the park.

If you have never seen Muppet★Vision 3D be sure to check it out on your next visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
