Shanghai Disney Resort today announced a series of job fairs in Shanghai beginning on October 21-24 as part of an extensive recruitment campaign in preparation for the grand opening of the resort in 2016. Held at the Shanghai Talent Tower, the job fairs aim to attract talent from Shanghai and from across China with experience in the tourism and services industry, and will offer a wide range of employment opportunities for talent at all levels. The four-day job fair in October will be the first of several to be held in Shanghai in the coming months.

Laying the foundation to support the resort’s future operations, the job fair will recruit a large number of local talent for each of the resort’s lines of business, including ride operations, guest services, custodial and cleaning, retail operations, food and beverage operations, engineering & maintenance, security, hotel operations and entertainment. The new recruits will join the resort’s opening team to implement Disney’s signature guest service and high standards at the Shanghai Disney Resort. The first round of the resort’s four-day job fair will welcome pre-registered candidates, who have completed the online application procedure in advance, from October 21 to 22 and will open for all candidates the following two days.

Shanghai Disney Resort currently employs a team of over 1,500 local cast members and Imagineers working on the development and operation of the resort.
