We know, today is a big day – celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Studios, but there are a host of other things happening too. Next month is the Museum of Pin-tiquities event at Epcot and there is some more information about the event.

2009-04-30_pintiquities_003Disney Pin Traders from around the world are cordially invited to celebrate the “10,000” year history of Disney Pin Trading during Disney Pin Celebration 2009 – The Museum of Pin-tiquities. This three-day, grand opening gala will be held from Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28, 2009 in World ShowPlace at Epcot.  Presented in conjunction with the Epcot Committee For Celebrating Disney Pins, The Department of Tradeology and Fellowship of Happy Traders, this event will feature unique Disney pins created for the Museum’s opening, Disney pin trading activities, a silent and live auction of artifacts direct from the Museum’s vault and much more.

2009-04-30_pintiquities_002RSP stands for the Random Selection Process, a computer program  designed to award limited edition product to event guests based on their preferences.  Normally,  two RSP’s are run for each event. There at 52 items in the catalogue that are included in the RSP and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd RSP forms are due Monday, May 25 at 11:59 PM Pacific with results being sent to event Guests in early June.

*Disney Pin Celebration 2009 is a private, hard-ticket event that will be held in Epcot during regular park hours. Theme Park admission to Epcot is not included in the price of event admission, but is required for attendance. All information is subject to change including but not limited to dates, times, artwork, release dates, edition sizes and retail prices.

It looks to be a fantastic event with some great pins. I registered on opening day and am having some fun looking over the pins to add for my RSP. As more event details come along, we’ll pass them on to you.
