Growing up, all my friends played Pop Warner football and loved the ability to compete like the big kids on the field. This winter, Disney’s Wide World of Sports will host the Pop Warner Super Bowl.

The nation’s top youth football teams and players will converge on Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex for the 53rd Pop Warner Super Bowl this December, marking the 15th consecutive year the football fest involving more than 60 teams is being held at Walt Disney World Resort.

To reach the Pop Warner Super Bowl, teams nationwide will battle their way through local and regional tournaments, earning the right to say “I’m Going to Disney World!” Teams are competing at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in four divisions based on size and age – Jr. Pee Wee (ages 8-10), Pee Wee (9-11 yrs.), Jr. Midget (10-12 yrs.) and Midget (11-14 yrs.).

Playing Pop Warner football and dreaming of grownup football stardom isn’t far-fetched for some youth: Nearly 70 percent of current NFL players played Pop Warner football when they were kids – including stars such as Reggie Bush, Adrian Peterson, Donovan McNabb and Tim Tebow.
