The Backstage Magic tour offered through Disney Institute takes guests behind the scenes to discover onstage and backstage areas of Walt Disney World Resort. Accompanied by an expert guide, guests explore attractions and backstage operations in each of the four theme parks.
“Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” – a first-of-its-kind program of Disney Parks – reached its goal of inspiring 1 million people in 2010 to give back to their communities through volunteer service in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
Nation’s leading multi-sport venue for amateur and professional events re-launches as ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and features signature ESPN elements; one-of-a-kind initiative to take youth sports to the next level.
Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival is always a signature event for Spring. Showcasing some of the most amazing floral displays throughout the park, the event also showcases great American gardeners who can help you make the most of your green thumb.
ESPN The Weekend will feature on-site telecasts of popular ESPN programs, including “Baseball Tonight,” “First Take,” “Mike & Mike in the Morning,” “NFL Live” and interview segments on “SportsCenter”; motorcades and Q&A sessions with athletes and ESPN personalities
While much of the country’s landscape hibernates to escape winter’s chill, spring arrives on butterfly wings for the 17th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival beginning March 3, which continues for 75 days through May 16, at Walt Disney World Resort.
The Atlanta Braves will host several marquee spring training opponents in 2010, including visits from the World Champion New York Yankees, World Series runner-up Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals during the Major League Baseball Spring Training season at Champion Stadium at the soon-to-be-re-imagined ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Epcot becomes a living jukebox featuring hit songs of the 1960s through the 1990s each Friday through Sunday of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival at Walt Disney World Resort during the Flower Power Concert Series.
“Make A Wave,” a duet by Hollywood Records recording artists and Disney Channel stars Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato, recorded for Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green will be featured in the upcoming Disneynature film “OCEANS,” was unveiled in an exclusive performance during the “Celebrate Family Volunteers” event at Walt Disney World® Resort.
To highlight the new “Give A Day, Get A Day” promotion and celebrate the already 600,000 volunteers who have donated their time for local charities around the country, The Walt Disney Co. threw a party as only Disney can do.
