Disney executives Wednesday released new details on exciting additions coming to Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line and newly renamed ESPN Wide World of Sports. Key to that is the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history, new ships and more.
“After the sun goes down, our Walt Disney World parks will light up the night with ‘Summer Nightastic!’, ” announced Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort. The Main St. Electrical Parade returns to light up the summer night.

Halloween is coming early to Walt Disney World Resort – and is sticking around for a night beyond the traditional Oct. 31. On 24 evenings between Sept. 4 and Nov. 1, Magic Kingdom will be alive with friendly ghosts and goblins during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
I remember the first time I rode the Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom. We were visiting family and my cousins both worked at the Magic Kingdom: one was a lead on Main St. U.S.A. and the other in Fantasyland.
