Sanctuary
It is more than a sanctuary for us golfers, each of Disney’s four championship courses is actually a certified Audubon International Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary. In order to be declared a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System, golf courses must maintain excellence in the following areas: Environmental Planning, Wildlife and Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Integrated Pest Management, Water Conservation and Water Quality Management.
With the honors it has achieved, Disney Golf joins a select group of top golf resorts such as Pebble Beach, The Broadmoor, Pinehurst, The Greenbrier, The Homestead, The American Club and Kapalua Resort.

128 world-class golfers, 4 magical days, and tradition comes together right here in Orlando.
We invite you to experience the magic of the 2009 Children’s Miracle Network Classic as we bring together the Central Florida community through the excitement of PGA TOUR golf. 2009 will mark the 39th year of the PGA TOUR event at the Walt Disney World Resort. The tradition, excitement, and classic moments of the event will be brought to you on Disney’s Magnolia and Palm Golf Courses. Be a part of the longest running PGA TOUR event in Central Florida that began with a three-peat by Jack Nicklaus in 1971, 1972 and 1973. The Children’s Miracle Network Classic also continues to bring the best players in the world to Orlando each year. In its history, the event has crowned the familiar names of Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Vijay Singh, Payne Stewart, and Mark O’Meara as champions.
From November 12 -15, 2009, come and watch the drama as defending champion Davis Love III attempts to regain the magic and his title. With his win at the 2008 Children’s Miracle Network Classic, Love was able to accomplish a lifetime exemption on the PGA TOUR for achieving his 20th career victory while being on TOUR for over 15 years.
