So I had the great pleasure to take my daughters out for a surprise outing this weekend (sick mommy needed quiet). I thought the chance to play a little miniature golf might appeal to them, so we headed over to Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf.
Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf is actually two gold courses in one: a traditional putt-putt style (Fantasia Gardens) course and a miniature golf course (Fantasia Fairways). Both are wonderfully appointed and make a great break in the day for some fun activities for the kids – of all ages.
Since my littlest is three, I chose the traditional miniature golf style course for us to play on. The holes are challenging enough for everyone to have a good time, but not too difficult that it would discourage anyone from participating.
The theming of the course is fun, but showing some signs of its age. I don’t think this course has been refurbished since its opening. One other thing I noticed was the lack of shade while you played. With the age of the attraction, I would have thought that some trees would have been incorporated into the design to give some respite from the sun.
All in all, however, it is still a great way to spend some time at a more traditional summer outing – miniature golf. If you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and are looking to try something different, head over to the Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf course and try your hand at one of its two course.
