Disney Parks are not only famous for attracting millions of guests every year, they are also a destination for attracting some very famous faces. Here are just a few of those stars that visited the parks this past year. Here are some of my favorite stars who visited the parks this year and brought to us by some of those talented photographers at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Taking on the stern and determined look of a Jedi Knight, “Star Wars” creator George Lucas poses Aug. 14, 2010 with Jedi Mickey Mouse, Princess Leia Minnie, Darth Goofy — and the lovable Disney droid, R2-MK — at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. The legendary filmmaker attended “The Last Tour to Endor,” a special event at the theme park in honor of the “Star Wars”-themed thrill attraction, Star Tours.
“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart poses Aug. 14, 2010 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. with “Star Wars”-inspired Disney characters Stormtrooper Donald Duck and Princess Leia Minnie Mouse. Stewart was in Orlando as a special host of “Star Wars Celebration V,” the official Lucasfilm fan event held at the Orange County Convention Center. At the convention center earlier in the day on Aug. 14, Stewart took the stage with “Star Wars” creator George Lucas and interviewed him live in front of thousands of fans.
Emmy Award-winning actress, writer & producer Tina Fey, star of the hit feature film “Date Night” and executive producer, head writer and star of the NBC series “30 Rock,” poses April 23, 2010 with Goofy at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Fey was visiting Walt Disney World Resort on vacation with her family.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas pose with their children, Dylan (left), age 10, and Carys (right), age 7, on Nov. 24, 2010, along with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in front of the Epcot theme park Christmas tree in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on Nov. 18. Epcot is one of four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Actress Eva La Rue, star of the CBS series “CSI: Miami,” shares a laugh March 1, 2010 with Minnie Mouse at the Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Wrapping it up
So next time you are wandering around the park, keep an eye out for some of your favorite celebrities who just might wandering around the parks as well. An extra hint for those who are star-watchers; celebrities are usually accompanied by a Disney Host or Hostess when they are out and about in the park, so keep your eyes peeled.
