Bridge leading to the Be Our Guest Restaurant

As we continue showcasing some of the New Fantasyland, here are some images from the new Be Our Guest restaurant. As you enter the New Fantasyland, the second major feature you notice is the bridge leading across the ravine to the Beast’s Castle.

Beast's castle

The attention to detail continues with all of the theming and architectural design by the Imagineers as they created this portion of the New Fantasyland.

Gargoyle on the bridge

From the exquisitely carved gargoyles who watch over you as you cross the bridge to the castle to the views of the surrounding land, nothing has escaped the Imagineers eye to create a compelling entryway to this restaurant.

Entry to Be Our Guest restaurant

Once across the bridge you are greeted by several guardians of the entryway and a friendly castmember. Above the doorway is a stained glass reminder of the magical rose that holds sway over the Beast’s future.

Stained glass

As you enter the foyer to the castle, the first item on your left is an alcove with another stained glass from the tale, but this is after Belle’s love has magically restored the beast to his human form.

Suits of armor

On the right of the foyer is the hallway guarded by the suits of armor.

Main Dining Hall

Moving straight through the foyer, however, is the piece de resistance – the grand ballroom. It is wonderfully themed and the attention to the details from the film can be seen throughout the room. The only thought I had, was this will probably be a very noisy dining experience considering the design of the room and materials used to recreate the space.

Since the restaurant is not yet open, we cannot comment on the quality of the food. However, the restaurant, once opened will feature 3 unique settings:

  • The mysterious West Wing, featuring an enchanted rose
  • The Rose Gallery with twirling, larger-than-life figures of Belle and Beast (this dining room available at lunch only)
  • The Ballroom, elegantly styled with a domed ceiling, twinkling chandeliers and views of softly falling snow
You can find out more about the dining options on the Walt Disney World Resort website.

Wrapping it Up

Be Our Guest

I cannot wait to see more of this land as the opening day approaches. My enthusiasm has only increased the more I reflect on the things we were able to see this past weekend. As the Annual Passholder preview weekends approach, I will have to get my list of questions and shots prepared to showcase more of this great new land within the Magic Kingdom. I cannot wait to finally get a seat within this restaurant and see if the food lives up the high expectations set by the design of Be Our Guest.
