Wrapping it Up
The Walt Disney Co. has raised park ticket prices, with a couple of exceptions, since Disney World opened in 1971. The fact that their base ticket price now rises over $100 for a single day entry was never a question of if, but rather when. It does make it harder for families to have their dream Disney vacation, but some of Disney’s goal is to get you to purchase an entire vacation package. When purchased in that manner, the pricing structure breaks down to a more manageable chunk to comprehend.
Regardless, our family has purchased annual passes since we are such frequent visitors and I do not see that changing with these increases just yet. There may come a day when they tip the balance against buying a new pass, but it has not arrived yet.
