Unusually early rain for a Florida Summer has decreased my frequency of visits to the park, but I spent a nice afternoon at the Magic Kingdom this past week. During the day, spent some time on the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland and what a great time we had.
So the Disney fan community is abuzz with the leaked plans of a Fantasyland expansion for the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort that seem to be popping up in discussions all over the social sites today.
The film has premiered at Cannes, it is getting rave reviews and now you can meet the characters of Disney/Pixar’s latest film, UP, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
MouseKingdom tweeted about a great online gallery with pictures of The Magic Kingdom in the pre-opening days of 1971. They are awesome!
Some big things are happening out at the West Coast and Disneyland. Disneyland is set to celebrate Spring by unveiling a host of great things.
Do you remember the pre-show at the old Country Bear Jamboree? Where they had the slides rotating out while you waited for the show? I have found a cache of original slides from that pre-show.
Expedition Everest is the newest mountain in the Disney Range. The attraction hurtles guests along a high-speed roller coaster with an encounter with the legendary Yeti. The amount of work that it took to make the ride is staggering and it all begins with making a believable story and its monster.
Walt Disney World has always excelled at taking a simple task and making it an experience. Take for example, the signage you see around the park. Early on it was simply a means to the end, directional signage to alert the guests to location, but has since grown into its own art form.
