    With the celebration of the 20th anniversay of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I have been looking in the archives to see what I could pull out, scan/photograph and post here on the site. The first thing that I found were some old maps.

    EPCOT’s (notice the spelling, it was still an acronym at this time) second night-time fireworks display was named New World Fantasy. As I was going through my archives I discovered a cache of original animation cels used to produce portions of the show.

    EPCOT as many of us know stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. It was the original concept for the Florida Project, but was abandoned shortly after Walt’s death in 1966. Nevertheless, the idea still had merit in the company and was continued in development over the years.
